Every member of staff we came across were amazing, and couldn’t do more to help us/make sure we had everything we needed, including lending us a bbq during our stay, for us to use at our site.
The site is exceptionally clean, and all facilities including toilets, showers etc are all very nice, clean and airy!
We had dinner in the restaurant on the first night, which had a lovely relaxed atmosphere. We sat by a lovely log fire, and enjoyed some huge portions of nice food!
The location is great, surrounded by fields, so we were awoken to the sounds of sheep, horses and birds. We walked into Tavistock one day, across the golf course, which was a perfect day out for us.

Would highly recommend this place and will be keen to go back! More

Langstone Manor is one of the best sites in the area whether you are in a tent , caravan, motorhome or in one of the pods or static caravans.

I have a Tesla and the onsite hookup proved invaluable in keeping the car and fridge running. The hookup is 20A, the Tesla is 16A so there's plenty of headroom for other appliances.

The site is modern and clean, everything is easy to use, showers are warm and powerful, hand and hair dryer is provided. Men have three toilet cubicles and three showers (one with a toilet) along with four urinals and three sinks.

The kitchen area has hot water and several sinks, again modern, clean and easy to use. Tavistock is close by and there are plenty of shops Lidl, Morrisons and Tesco are practically next to each other on Plymouth Road and a Co-Op with parking is on Parkwood Road in the town.

My first day was very heavy rain and there was no pooling of water anywhere on the site (as an ex-farm boy, that was good to see) the only issue I had were the tractors running in the fields until around 02:30 - quite noisy and looked a bit like Close Encounters of the Third Kind! The second night I was so tired I slept through it. I spent most of my week walking Tors, an easy one is right next to the campsite, Pew Tor, a nice brisk half hour walk to the top from the site. Lots of beautiful places to see around Tavistock and Dartmoor.

If you bring an electric vehicle, make sure to bring a 16A "commando" connector (or a "commando" to 13A socket converter) the price of the electrical hookup is good value (unlike another chap who whined about only having a few lamps) there are a few charging points in the strangest of places, e.g. Postbridge - so don't fear the range, you'll be golden visiting this site and connecting up - for Tesla users on the way to Tavistock, go to the Lifton Supercharger on the way, it's very fast and convenient and not far out of your way.

The pretty market town of Tavistock is also within easy reach, while moderate journeys will take you to Plymouth, Cornwall and the coast. The facilities are good, with all the necessary amenities, a shop, a restaurant and bar, although the opening times for the latter could be extended. I found the staff friendly and helpful.

Ideal location to explore the moors and local villages. Mega pods were so cosy and warm and full of everything we needed. Food and drinks in the restaurant looked lovely. We ate at our daughter’s in Plymouth so didn’t try the food.
We’re certainly going again soon as it’s perfect for us visiting our daughter who struggles to squeeze us in with their new baby.

The staff are amazing, constantly welcoming newcomers and helping around the site- the food is great and the actual caravans and other places to stay are great quality and a decent size for a family.
The location is legendary, one of the nicest places I’ve ever been.
The restaurant is a lovely place to eat in and all aspects of the amenities around the site such as the showers and toilets are brilliant and cleaned regularly.
There is a playground in the middle of the site for kids to enjoy with multiple activities to do such as a Wendy’s house, swings and climbing frame which is safe and secure and quite visible.

All in all this is a great holiday park for any trip if you’re in the area of Dartmoor. More

  We’ve been visiting Langstone Manor since the late 90’s/early 2000’s when I was a child and it’s always been my favourite campsite. After deciding that my partner and I needed... read more a break and a reasonably priced holiday I obviously opted to return to my favourite place! He hasn’t been camping before and I was a little rusty after realising my last camping trip (also at Langstone) was a whopping 10 years ago!

It was just as beautiful and peaceful as I remembered, the facilities are second to none and despite the weather (lots and lots of heavy rain) we had a fabulous time. The toilets and showers etc are beautifully clean, they literally think of everything you could possibly need including laundry facilities, dishwashing room and even a freezer for ice packs.

On the rainiest evening we took shelter in the restaurant and had a lovely, reasonably priced meal followed by a couple of games of pool in the games room. We even borrowed a couple of games to take back to the tent and managed to forget about the rain.

The pitch was a very good size as our tent is huge but had plenty of room to spare. Pew Tor is within walking distance (approx 15-20 mins to the top) and the site is perfectly located for exploring the moor.

More importantly I got to hear the words I was hoping for - ‘Let’s do it again next year!’

It was a good thing I read the directions before setting off and avoided the narrow road. It was my first time visiting Devon/ Cornwall and was not used to narrow and windy road - my top speed on those roads was 50 mph 😀
Highly recommend this place, if you want to disconnect and enjoy nature at its finest.
One minor point was that there is sometimes a small queue for the toilets/ shower but not a deal breaker. More

The site does have WIFI but you have to pay for it. However if your going to take a break away from it all this is a great method to keep you off devices.
